Size

I have small hands. After a while of knowing me, someone seems to notice for the first time how small my hands are. Why does it take people so long to notice? Do they notice when they first meet me and forget later? They want to put my hand up to theirs, comparing the two sizes.If there's others in the room they do the same. My palm kept growing noticeably after my pre-teens, but my actual fingers did not. They have stayed the same length. Children's gloves don't fit, because the palm is too small. Adult gloves don't fit; the fingers are far too long. Yet, the gloves that stretch do fit. You know, the cheap ones you can find at supermarkets, they are always on sale. These gloves allow us to freeze our hands while shoveling in a Michigan winter. They are too thin to survive. Every winter I mention to my mother "I need to become rich". "Why, so you can pay for a Stradivarius?" Mom says. "No, so I can afford custom gloves" I say. Anyone else have a solution?
